TUI has cancelled holidays up to and including 11 August to more than 40 hotels impacted by wildfires in the south and south-east of the Greek island of Rhodes.
Not all of the hotels have been damaged, but they are in the regions affected by the fires.
However, reports from the island suggest that some of the hotels have sustained so much damage they might not reopen this summer.
Holidaysplease boss Charles Duncombe, who was in Rhodes when the fires started, said he believes the Princess Sun and Lindos Breeze Beach Hotel, both in Kiotari, and the Lindian Village Beach Resort, Lardos could take a year to reopen.
He said the Rodos Princess Beach Hotel, from where he and his family were evacuated, might not reopen until next year.
A spokeswoman for Mitsis Hotels said the company is planning to reopen the Mitsis Rodos Maris Resort and Spa and Mitsis Rodos Village Beach Hotel and Spa by the end of this week.
She said: “Our hotels have minor damages that are being restored as we speak.
“Water supply on the island has been restored since yesterday and power will be back again [at the] latest tomorrow morning.
“We are planning to open by the end of this week.”

Jet2 has cancelled holidays to Rhodes up to and including 30 July. It has yet to confirm plans for next week.
