Mark Tanzer, Chief Executive of ABTA – The Travel Association said:
“We’re pleased to see the Government is taking steps to modernise UK airspace.
“The efficiencies gained will be good for passengers, businesses and growth, and will also help to advance the aviation industry’s plans to cut carbon. Reducing flight time reduces carbon emissions.
“Helping air travel reach net-zero needs a multi-pronged approach and needs to be a collaboration between industry and government. Today’s announcement is an encouraging step forward.”
