This role is ideal for a travel consultant from a tailor-made or tour operator background who is looking for a remote or hybrid London-based position while specialising in one of the world’s most culturally rich and diverse regions.
Key Responsibilities – Asia Travel Consultant:
- Design and sell tailor-made holidays across Asia, with a focus on Thailand and Sri Lanka along with India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
- Provide expert travel advice and destination knowledge to clients, ensuring a high level of personalisation and customer satisfaction.
- Create detailed and compelling travel itineraries using handpicked hotels, experiences, and local partnerships.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process from initial enquiry to booking confirmation and after-sales care.
- Work closely with global suppliers and local ground handlers to ensure the highest service standards.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to share insights and contribute to content creation.
- Attend training sessions, industry events, and fam trips as required.
Asia Travel Consultant – Essential Requirements:
- Experience in a travel sales role selling Sri Lanka and Thailand within a tour operator or luxury travel agency – essential.
- First-hand travel experience in Thailand and Sri Lanka (essential); experience in India, Vietnam, Indonesia (preferred).
- A deep passion for Asia, with cultural understanding and a keen eye for crafting memorable travel experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
- Self-motivated and organised, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Based in the UK with the ability to commute to London if working on a hybrid basis.
