Are you a driven business development manager from a TMC with an entrepreneurial flair? We seeking an experienced Corporate Travel Business Development Manager, remote working based in the North of the USA to join a leading travel company that offers various travel types to clients. The candidate must be based in either New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Maryland, Virginia, LA with business development experience within the business travel industry.



The ideal Corporate Travel Business Development Manager will personally contact and secure new business from clients operating in the academic, humanitarian, and group travel markets. A passion for this market is essential from a travel management company background.





The successful candidate will need to apply consultative sales techniques and will be responsible for achieving maximum profitability by promoting relevant products and services, and be from a travel background.



Corporate Travel Business Development Manager Duties:



  • Efficiently prospecting and engaging with potential new clients using multiple channels including calls, tender sites, teams/zoom meetings, and referrals.
  • Securing and attending meetings with the decision makers and company stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of our clients product line and the value proposition to the prospect.
  • Preparing concise and effective presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  • Presenting to prospective clients in a considered succinct, targeted, and professional manner.
  • Routinely tracking activities through Salesforce and submitting scheduled reports.
  • Identifying market trends and monitoring competitor product, pricing, and messaging.
  • Appropriately recommending products and services to maximise profitability.



Corporate Travel Business Development ManagerEssential Experience:



  • Ability to demonstrate experience in a consultative business development role and an aptitude for solution-based selling, from a business travel industry background is imperative.
  • Proven success of working within a highly competitive market. Demonstrate a dynamic and consultative approach to business development.
  • Relationship builder and go getter.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence others to effectively manage senior customers.
  • Keen to drive business performance, successful customer solutions, and personal success.
  • Strong prospecting, presentation and closing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint).
  • Evidenced success in a business development role within the travel industry i.e. business travel, airline, tour operator, travel agent.
