With the peak holiday period on the horizon, and at a time of global uncertainty, ABTA’s member services become more important than ever in ensuring that your customers can travel with confidence.
All year round, our Destinations team monitors world events, FCDO travel advice updates, and travel health updates to keep you informed of significant events, incidents and adverse weather through our operational bulletins. You can sign up to receive these in your ‘My Account’ section on abta.com.
Our ABTA Destination resort committees encourage the flow of information between members, and government authorities. They support local collaboration to address matters locally that affect tourism, all of which helps your customers to have a smooth and safe journey and holiday abroad.
It's when a crisis hits that we make an even more significant impact to support members and their customers by bringing together tour operators, local authorities, FCDO and other stakeholders to discuss situations, share information, help members resolve issues and disseminate advice to ensure that our members and their customers, whether holidaymakers or business travellers are well informed.
We also have a wealth of advice to help people have a safe holiday, all of which you can use to support your work in this area and share with your customers.

It was also an extremely traumatic experience for those staff involved in responding to the attack and supporting the families and friends afterwards. Ten years on we remember all those affected.
