The Easter Getaway shows holidays as popular as ever

Tomorrow will see the Easter Getaway in full swing, with millions taking advantage of the long weekend to head off for a well-earned break. Members have told us that they have seen strong Easter demand for overseas holidays, particularly to our traditional favourites around the Mediterranean where temperatures are looking good with lots of sunshine.
As our annual Holiday Habits report shows, people are taking more holidays now than at any time for the past few years, with Easter one of the peak times for our industry as the third most popular time after the summer months and Christmas. We estimate that over two million people will be taking an overseas break.
As always, we will be reminding customers through the media, on social and on abta.com to leave plenty of time to get to their departure point and check in advance for engineering works and other possible sources of disruption if using public transport.
Whether you are working, or taking some time off yourself, I hope you get to make the most of the long weekend.
