TUI River Cruises has revealed details of the new venues onboard its five-star ship, TUI Al Horeya, which is due to set sail on its maiden voyage next month on the Nile.
The refurbished 145-passenger TUI Al Horeya will have 74 cabins and is TUI’s first Nile ship.
Features include a hybrid multi-functional Top Deck, where passengers can use the swimming pool and two hot tubs during the day, and have a light bite menu and afternoon tea. In the evening, the Top Deck will become a reservation-only al fresco dining area, Felucca, where waiters will serve customers in traditional galabaya clothes.
The main restaurant, Lazeeza, which means ‘delicious’ in Arabic, will seat 141 for waiter-service breakfast, lunch and dinner, including live cooking demonstrations and a gala dinner, where customers will be served a seven-course Egyptian meal.
The Observatory will host nightly traditional entertainment from Egyptian Whirling Dervishes and local Nubian acts, as well as quizzes, music and films. There is also a Wellness Area with exercise machines and a massage room.
Head of River Cruises Katy Berzins said: “The design of each of these venues gives choice to our customers from the intimate Felucca dining space to the traditional Lazeeza main restaurant. We’ve gone from the European waterways of the Rhine, Danube, Main and Moselle and now our first North African cruise ship down the Nile, which will offer our customers the chance to experience Egypt in a whole new light.”
TUI River Cruises is running an incentive for a place on a Nile river cruise fam trip. See here for details.
