Talking to media about the summer school break and late deals

This weekend the summer holiday season really gets into full swing as the majority of schools in England and Wales start their summer break, joining those families in other parts of the country who are already lucky enough to have finished for the summer.
The Mediterranean countries will be hosting the majority of these holidaymakers as the British love affair with this beautiful part of the world continues.
We are speaking to the media about the great summer getaway, advising families on what they need to do to get their holidays off to a smooth start, including encouraging families to leave plenty of time to get to their departure ports and arrive no earlier than the time recommended by their travel providers.
We’ve also been advising people that it’s not too late to book a holiday abroad this summer, particularly if they can be flexible on where they go and the date they depart.
With national media reporting on our latest consumer research which shows that the UK’s poor weather so far this year is prompting people to head overseas, we’re reminding would-be holidaymakers that booking with an ABTA travel agent or tour operator will give them access to the best deals and expert advice this summer.
